I recently was arrested for a DWI. This was my first time dealing with criminal charges in my life, so you can imagine I was quite fearful especially since my professional license was in jeopardy. There was both an accident as well as an inadequate breath sample, which they deemed as a refusal in my ...case, making it more complicated and not easily inclined for plea bargaining. At first, the DA was unwilling to lessen the charge, but he worked vigorously for weeks and it paid off. I did not need to go to trial and received the noncriminal charge of DWAI.
