Working with Mr. Malott was as painless as this type of experience can be. Despite my not being present in court, he was able to get my reckless driving charge reduced down to Defective Equipment. I live out of state and recently found out the hard way that VA has some of the harshest traffic laws around. What would have gotten me a) a simple speeding ticket, b) not pulled over in the first place, or c) flipped off by other drivers anywhere else is actually a reckless driving offense there, so... this is NOT a place where you can just pay your fine and move on. You definitely need a lawyer, and Christian was the right choice. His fee was reasonable (I talked to two other attys that sent me letters in the mail, one charging half, and another charging more than double) and he explained my options, including the most likely results of my case during my first conversation with him.
