Robbi Cook graduated from Tufts University magna cum laude with a degree in Psychology, and then earned her J.D. Degree from Boston University School of Law in 1985.
Ms. Cook practiced civil litigation and juvenile dependency law, in Massachusetts, and the District of Columbia, before she moved to California in 1997, and became a staff attorney with the Hawkins Center, a non-profit legal services agency in Richmond, California. In 2005, Ms. Cook founded Law Offices of Robbi Abrams Cook, specializing in adult and juvenile criminal defense. Since then, Ms. Cook has represented hundreds of clients in courts throughout the Bay Area, in criminal and juvenile cases. Her practice has allowed Ms. Cook to fully realize her passion for fighting for the rights of each of her clients.
Ms. Cook is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Alameda County Bar Association, the California Public Defenders Association, the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice and the California Deuce Defenders. She treats every client with respect and integrity.

HUNG JURY (not convicted) - 8 jurors voted not guilty; 4 voted guilty
DEFERRED PROSECUTION. I negotiated with the D.A. to do a deferred prosecution – Mr. O. did not have to plea guilty, the prosecution was deferred for one year, and will be DISMISSED at the end of the year if Mr. O. stays clear of any re-arrest.
Finding of FACTUAL INNOCENCE. To clear Mr. M.'s arrest record, I filed a Petition for Determination of Factual Innocence (P C 851.8). After evidentiary hearing, the Judge ALLOWED the Petition and ordered Mr. M.'s arrest record sealed and destroyed.
A jury found Mr. V. NOT GUILTY of vandalism & battery; jury HUNG on the assault charge (D.A. then dismissed). Judge sentenced Mr. V. to 30 days on the remaining charges, which he was permitted to do in the Sherriff’s Work Alternative Program(not in jail).
Mistrial declarred on 5th day of trial - case DISMISSED. District attorney wanted to re-try the case, but finally came to his senses and offered an "infraction" (no criminal record for Mr. C.)
