Ricki Goodstein

We attended an elder law seminar presented by Ricki Goodstein several years ago. It was one of the most informative educational sessions on this subject we've ever attended. It gave us much to think about as we are approaching our later years. Subsequent to this seminar we met with Ricki in her of...fices to discuss the many questions we had. She not only was able to answer all of our questions but provided us with invaluable information. We were very impressed with her knowledge of estate planning and in general elder law issues. She did not hesitate at any time in providing answers. We agreed at that time to have her prepare all of the documents we felt were necessary to guide us as we prepared for the next phase of our lives. Her dedication to excellence and her extensive knowledge of elder law issues were very impressive and evident to us. Beyond this she was extremely able to explain the issues in layman’s terms. Decisions were left up to us. She was extremely helpful (and educational) in every way with no pressure to go one way or another. Her respect for family transcended in everything provided in the way of legal advice. After more than 3 years we are very happy with her council and advice and would gladly recommend her to anyone seeking elder law issues. One final note - her supportive staff are excellent and very responsive and attentive to our needs.

My wife & I hired Ms. Goodstein to do an estate plan for us. This is a second marriage for both of us. We wanted to keep our assets separate other than a provision in my will to leave certain assets to my wife. At each meeting Ms. Goodstein would suggest to my wife that I wasn't doing enough or wa...s reneging on a previous promise. At one point. she suggested that I take out a long term health care policy for my wife. At our next meeting she presented us with a long term health policy that costs one million dollars. My two biggest issues with Ms Goodstein are making a recommendation & then trying to fulfill our need by selling us a policy & the uneven way she represented my wife & me.
