Paul Michael O'Brien

I hired Attorney Paul O'Brien for a very complex estate case that involved my elderly father. This particular case was very stressful for both me and my family and we had practically given up hope that it could ever be resolved. From the beginning, I was very impressed by Attorney O'Brien's sense of... professionalism, legal expertise and sensitivity. He patiently welcomed my many questions and communicated with me often in an very timely manner. He explained everything clearly and patiently. I am terminating Paul OBrien as my attorney immediately I requested he send me papers involving my case he said he sent never reviewed them I believe Paul failed in so many ways more to follow at the appropriate time I personally would not recommend anyone retain this attorney Thank you Charlie Lewne...r

Paul was recommended to me. We had a first phone meeting, where he said he needed $3,000.00 to review my case. I sent an email listing the questions I needed answered and paid the $3,000.00. After allegedly reviewing what I sent, he wrote me a very generic letter that did not address ANY of my que...stions. He alleges to be an estate expert but also wanted to take on a collection matter for me. He said we should first see how much money needs to be collected before taking another retainer. So asked a simple question about the interest rate (was it the same as in the loan note or changed). He vehemently refused to answer until he had the 2nd retainer. I even offered to pay him to answer the question, but he refused. When I asked him to send me a paid bill along with the time backup for the "consultation" on the estate he did, he also refused, saying that he spent more time than I paid for. I doubt he even spent an hour or two for the $3,000.00. In this email he also was quite rude and unprofessional saying he wouldn't take my cases because I wanted everything for free. Stay far away from this man and his firm; as he is a partner and evidently they allow this kind of greedy, egotistical behavior.

I was on the receiving end of a fraudulent & frivolous Article 81 Guardianship proceeding in NYS for "my person" and "my property". I hired Paul M. Thanks to his strategy and expertise he was able to have the petitioner withdraw the Article 81 petition, thereby preventing an appeal by the petitioner at a later date. Paul M. O'Brien Esq. saved my life and at age 89 I am able to conduct my life freely as I choose!
