John O Poindexter

I was referred from a family friend. First mistake. Mr. Poindexter said he would handle my case for a certain fee and he wouldn't charge me extra. After I had let him go for not being experienced enough and I asked for a final bill, he charged my an extra $3,000, when he didn't finish the work I h...ad originally paid him for. We only went to court once, and I gave him information to add to my motion and he didn't add it, and told me it was my fault. He did not speak to the judge on what was in the motion, or on my behalf and I walked out the court room flabbergasted . He told me I would have to go back to court and do another motion. Are you kidding me. Everything should have been handled in the first motion. I am so disappointed in his service. I should have believed him when he said it was a "money making business" . It wasn't at all about helping me. Now I am in the process of finding a new lawyer with ethics and that will listen to my concerns, and not come up with a bill six months after being hired for services that were not completed.

John is a excellent well spoken nonjudgmental attorney.
