Jenna Nicole Shapiro

I am currently an associate at  Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer as a member of the family team. Prior to entering private practice I served as a law clerk to the Honorable Teresa Kondrup Coyle, at the Monmouth County Superior Court, Family Division. I am certified in Mediation and Conciliation Skills and am trained in Collaborative Law. I am also a member of the Monmouth Ocean Inns of Court, Family Division, Monmouth County Young Lawyers and the New Jersey and Monmouth County Bar Associations. I serve on the Family Law Executive Committee for the State Bar, sit on the Executive Family Law Committe in Monmouth County and am a member of the Middlesex County's Assignment Judge's Committee. I am the current co-chair of the family section of the Haydn Proctor Inns of Court. I am admitted to practice in New Jersey and Maryland.

I was born and  raised in Monmouth County. I'm a graduate of The George Washington University, and of the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. Throughout her time in law school, she was very active in The Columbus Community Legal Services, Family Law Clinic, providing pro bono services to women of domestic violence in custody and divorce cases and successfully represented a client in a contested custody case. I was a participant in Catholic’s National Trial Team, where I traveled around the country participating in mock trial competitions. This gave me the opportunity to prepare opening and closing statements, direct and cross examinations, and become intimately familiar with court procedure. I was awarded Best Overall Advocate in May of 2010 at the Capital City Challenge in Washington, D.C.
