Great attorney
This attorney is one great lawyer, I had a case back in 2010 in Monmouth county superior court at first I had a public defender this defender was one of the most incompetent lawyers I've ever had. So here's how the story goes I withdrew 15k from my joint account with my wife at the time but we were going through a divorce so she filed a theft by deception case against me. At my first appearance I go in front of the judge and tell him this is a domestic dispute I don't know why it's in the criminal courts the pd I had was overwhelmed with cases so really wasn't paying attention to my case like he should've been. All of a sudden I get a plea offer from the PD for a 4 year prison sentence or 5 years probation if I returned the money. The next day I scraped together some money and went and looked for an attorney. I spoke to a few sheriffs there and they told me about this attorney jimmy fagen. I go there and explain my case to him he excepts my case and comes to court with me the next day I told him I only had 1000 at the time and I needed some time to get the rest of the funds wich was 1500 more he was very understanding. Immediately entering the court I could tell this man was respected there even the prosecutors were very respectful with him. So, Before the judge comes in the court he tells the prosecutor this is not a criminal case and we're wasting our time prosecutor disagrees and states it is a criminal case. Mr fagen then was getting impatient and said let's go talk to your boss. Eventually mr. Fagen and the prosecutor return and all of a sudden my case is thrown out. Even after having the agreement for the 2500 Mr. Fagen tells me don't worry about the rest just to take it easy and take care of myself. I can understand if I was a repeat offender and he knows he would be getting my business again but I have a clean record and he understood completely what I was going through. I used to be a interpreter for the courts this attorney is one of the best I've ever seen.

Very Knowledgeable Lawyer, Extremely Trustworthy, but doesn't show any real concern for their Client, bottom Line is their Fee.
After hiring Mr. James Fagen at an exorbitant Fee to handle my Harassment and Stalking charges filed against me, when we went to the Freehold Municipal Court, in Freehold, NJ, the Judge called our case, then we approached the Judge's Bench. The Judge mentioned that he noticed the person who was the individual siting these charges in the Summons, has not showed up in his Court Room. My attorney, Mr Fagen mentioned to the Judge that obviously he has no substantiating evidence of his charges against my client. The Judge asked what do you want to do? Mr. Fagan asked the Judge to Dismiss all charges against his client. The Judge said, so done, dismissing all charges. When we left the court house, Mr. Fagen told me, if this guy ever bothers me again, he would like me to call him first, and said I want to handle your case so we can put this crack-pot in Jail where he belongs. I thanked Mr. Fagen for his expert assistance in my case. Approx. 1 month later, November 9th 2013, this same individual filed a 2nd Complaint- Summons against me for Harassing him, and blocking his vehicle from leaving his parking space, and shinning a bright flashlight in his front windows at 11:00 pm to as late as 2:00 am, and calling him nasty names. I called Mr. Fagen immediately when I got the Complaint-Summons in the mail, as he instructed me to do after the 1st Complaint - Summons was completely dropped. I unfortunately called on Veterans Day and I believe his office was closed, but I left him a message as to some of the details on this 2nd Summons. Mr. Fagen called me the next day, and explained what had happened. Mr. Fagen advised me that at this point it would be to your advantage to File a Complaint against this person, or he'll keep on charging you with Factitious Charges that may be more damaging. I said I agree, and asked him to please handle my case, as he requested me to call him if anything else happened when we were leaving the Municipal Court. Mr. Fagen mentioned, that's completely up to you to decide, you know my Fee $2,500.00. I said but this is involving the Same charges and the same individual charging me again. He said the original charges were dismissed, now you have another situation with a charge. I told him, it was severely difficult to scrape up enough money for his 1st fee of $2,500.00, and that I am Medically Disabled and have been living on Social Security and could not afford another hugh fee, but I got it together anyway, because I was faced with indictable offenses and needed to protect myself. He told me he understands, then suggested I try and get a Public Defender through the court. I told him, I want someone who is very knowledgable and to get this guy off my back and into Jail. He got very impatient and nasty with me, telling me lets decide what you want to do, because I have many clients down stairs waiting to see me. I was Really Shocked. I told him I'm not sure what I'm going to do so as to Defend myself against these Fabricated Charges. When he started getting even nastier with me, I decided, all Mr. Fagen cares about is his Fee, NOT his Client, then we both decided to hang up.. I understand that he is not a charity, and wants his fee, BUT why charge me such an exorbitant Fee 2nd time around? I was expecting him to charge me possibly $1,000.00 at most, because on the 1st Complaint, Mr Fagen did absolutely no real research or collecting information, basically had a snap Easy Case for a fast $2,500.00. Mr Fagen's name came very highly recommended to me. But I have learned through this experience an Important lesson: at the End of the day, Most All attorneys (not All) really Only care about is their Beloved FEE specifically an exorbitant Fee, with NO flexibility, and NOT Caring in any way for their Client(s).
