I had a very long and drawn out custody battle that seemed to start from the moment my now seven-year-old son was born. My son's father is a textbook monster. He's everything you can think of: abusive physically and mentally to my son and his paramours, uses illegal steroids and a few other drugs, dr...inks heavily, mentally unstable, abused the legal system and his cop-father's influence and power in efforts to further hurt me. But from an outside perspective you would never guess any of these things. I spent years in court trying to prove it. You have to put your pride to the side and let him do his job. Because he's exquisite at it. When you have limitless questions and he says "trust me", I urge you to trust him. When he tells you to "stop, slow down, take a breath and just listen to me", stop, slow down, take a breath and just listen to him. Believe me, I understand. Something as precious and important as your little boy or little girl's whole life. It's hard to relinquish control and not be a part of every single step in the process. But I have never seen anyone work like him. And I don't just mean his work ethic, which is also incredible, but his strategies. They are so different but so superb. And just when you think that you've used everything and got nothing left, he's always got something, and it's always a K.O. It was a long trial that was drawn out due to the judges schedule, not ours. David brought my son safely home within a few months, with an emergent order that that he got approved by the Appellate Division, and kept him home for the entire duration of the custody trial. By the end of the trial he got me full custody, with supervised visitation every other weekend and a ton of conditions for my son's father. He's even going back for me to obtain counsel fees from the other side. But he had won me the trail well before it's completion date. He is an incredible attorney, with tons of experience under his belt. He knows exactly what he's doing. He knows the law inside and out. His staff- Sherry, Jen, and Mary are awesome and so helpful as well. I cannot urge you enough to place your child's future and safety in good hands. If you want someone to hold your hand and tell you exactly what you want to hear, then don't choose David. But if you want somebody to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty, to jump in there and fight for your child as if it is his own, then look no further than David Rochman.
