I started my law career after a long career in Accounting & Finance in Corporate America.  Being a business person I dealt with attorney's often.  My impetus for going to law school was 1.) because I had a strong aptitude for logic and reasoning and 2.) I got tired of dealing with attorneys who played "hide the ball" with the relevant law and who, in my opinion, unecessarily made things complicated just to generate more fees.  I vowed when I became and attorney to fight for the lay person, keep things simple, and help people in the most cost effective way possible.  I practice various areas of the law because I get bored easily and couldn't imagine only working in one area.  The facinating thing about the law is it's a continous learning endeavor.  The most rewarding aspect is the look on client's faces when you're able to solve their issue, when they thought it was impossible.  My firm offers free consultations.  Being both an attorney and a CPA I have expertiese in a myriad of areas which minimizes the need to hire experts.  For more complex financial matters most attorneys have to hire forensic accountants, but with me that is not necessary.  I understand both the legal and the financial/accounting aspects of any issue.
