Provided Sound Advice and Helped Preserve an Important Relationship

In 2017, I called upon Attorney Nidya Paredes. I desperately needed Nidya's advice and expertese concerning a potential disability diagnosis for my daughter and how to deal with her pre-school and teacher throughout the process. No one wants to hear that their child might be “different,” and for me... that concern was amplified by the fact that I am a single parent in every sense and needed this school arrangement to work out for my daughter. I was so stressed about not only dealing with a diagnosis but also about whether I could maintain a positive relationship with my daughter’s teacher or how to do that. From start to finish, Nidya was patient, listened very well, and gave me great advice. She advised me on how to interface with my daughter’s school so that I could preserve the relationship with the school throughout the diagnosis period, yet she also coached me on how to delicately assert my rights as a parent to make sure that no testing was done at the school, for example, which would potentially channel my child into a disability program there or label her without the opportunity for me as her parent to first address the matter independently - in this case collaborate with my daughter’s pediatrician and a nuerologist before doing any testing at the school. Flash forward a few months, I am so grateful that I found and reached out to Nidya instead of trying to handle this on my own. I think this situation could have easily went in the wrong direction, but because I had Nidya by my side it did not. I am so happy with the outcome of my matter. Because of Nidya's comprehensive advice during my consultation with her, my case did not move further, and it was resolved shortly after my consultation with her and thanks to her advice. I highly recommend Attorney Nidya Paredes.
