I was very nervous about filing bankruptcy for the first time and had absolutely no idea what to expect. My first meeting I met with my attorney, Attorney Diaz-Martinez, and his paralegal assistant Kelly Brady and went over all of the information including documentation I would need to obtain, thei...r knowledge about the different chapters, and most importantly they were honest about the ups and downs of the process but assured me they would be by my side the whole way. I actually ended up working (communicating) almost entirely with the paralegal assistant, Kelly Brady. She was absolutely incredible! She was very structured and organized making everything understandable to me, someone with no legal experience. She was always quick to respond to emails and keep me updated about the process and where they were in it. This was especially helpful because the entire process from start to end takes months and there wasn’t a whole lot of stuff I needed to do so her updates reassured me I was a top priority. Another pro about Kelly was she went above and beyond to make sure I was prepared for court and felt calm and confident when answering the questions they may ask. She sent me detailed emails reassuring me to stay calm and breaking down what will be done step by step, and I was also provided handouts with typical questions asked and how to address individuals in the courtroom. All-in-all they were a great team. I give them a 10/10 for good communication, shared knowledge, patience, structure, and professionalism. I highly recommend! Hope this helps!!
