Alanna Wilkinson Dennis

Alanna W. Dennis graduated on the Honors List from Franklin and Marshall College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science in 1987. In 1990, she earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Texas School of Law at Austin (UT Law). While at UT Law, Ms. Dennis received the Distinguished Scholar Award, the Fullbright & Jaworski Outstanding Senior Award, as well as the American Jurisprudence Award in legal Research and Writing. Upon her graduation for UT Law, Ms. Dennis traveled internationally and worked in both the public and private sector.  Ms. Dennis is an experienced attorney admitted to practice law before both the Maryland Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.  In 1995, Ms. Dennis was appointed as an Assistant Attorney General with the Maryland Attorney General’s Office. She served for ten (10) consecutive years within the litigation division at the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Over her years of practice, Ms. Dennis has represented the Maryland Real Estate Commission, the Maryland Commissioner of Labor and Industry, and the Maryland Home Improvement Commission. In 1999, Ms. Dennis received her Master of Science in Business Management from John Hopkins University. In 2000, Ms. Dennis received her certification in mediation from the Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings. Ms. Dennis has extensive conflict resolution experience of general workplace and EEO related disputes. She has mediated matters between management and labor employees, small business partners, as well as home improvement, real estate and neighborhood disputes. She has volunteered before the District Court of Maryland and the Anne Arundel Conflict Resolution Center. She has served as a former Board Officer with the Law Foundation of Prince George's County and has also served as an Election Judge in both general and primary elections.
