Responsible for oversight and coordination of state and federal compliance policies, procedures, and training for all covered entities and covered healthcare components at East Tennessee State University.  Responsible for oversight and management of all activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and compliance with the institutions policies, procedures, and practices governing the privacy, confidentiality, and security of all individually identifiable health information; identifying, developing, and delivering staff education as is appropriate for state and federal law compliance.  Otherwise provides competent and comprehensive advice to senior managers and others on the campus about highly complex and emerging healthcare privacy and security issues.
