Linda Marie Lee

In 2012 I attempted to represent myself on a case without counsel and was totally taken advantage of by the system. Everything from the charges I was convicted of at the time as well as the sentence in which I received were egregious. I contacted Linda about a week or so into my sentence in hope...s of appealing the conviction. Once I was able to get my case information over to her and she reviewed it, she immediately came to see me and begin her game plan as to how we were going to prove the wrongs that were acted out by the courts and give me another chance to be heard by someone that wasn't going to prejudicial in my case. Linda really knows her craft and immediately picked out several violations to my rights that had taken place over the course of my case. An emergency appeal was submitted on my behalf to have me released immediately upon knowing of the violations. The DA originally only asked for 30 days to be my punishment at the time but the actions of a judge that sentenced me and then retired called for me to be held for 300 days instead! Sure enough, Linda had done such a fantastic job finding the inconsistencies that I was given a bond and released just a couple of days after she submitted the request. This allowed me the opportunity to be free while I fought this case and with the help of legal counsel this time. Linda submitted elegantly written, detailed appeals that we submitted in order to have my case reviewed by the state. She was always keeping me in the loop as to what she was doing and why. She would call me to let me know any changes she was thinking of making and would call and read the documents to me before submitting them. All of these things gave me great comfort in a time of such unrest in my life. All of Linda's hard work payed off for me and I was granted a new trial, in which was dismissed by the courts the second time around and gave me a new chance at correcting the blemish that had been thrown on my life at the time. The main thing I feel I can share about Linda after having her do all that she did for me is that her passion and compassion for what I was going through meant more to me than she will ever know. Linda is a person who holds what she does at an extremely high level of integrity and passion. Her attention to detail and her relentlessness were unparrelleled. Linda's efforts gave me confidence, hope, and ultimately a new chapter of life other than what was originally going to be my future at the time of my conviction. She saw a man that hadn't ever been in trouble and didn't know which way to turn or how to handle the situation I was in, and she gave me guidance and leadership. When it comes to what I feel an attorney would be in a perfect world, Linda is the blueprint!
