Biography
Laurie A. Bigsby is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar and the Bankruptcy and Creditors Rights Section. Laurie was born, raised and attended school in Fond du Lac, WI. In 1979 she moved to South Bend, Indiana where she graduated from Indiana University and Valparaiso University School of Law in 1988. After practicing family law, juvenile – criminal defense, probate and bankruptcy for over 10 years, she relocated to the Milwaukee area in late 2001. Laurie opened her own practice in Delafield, WI in 2004, until she started working with Horizons Law Group, LLC in February 2005 handling Ch. 7 and Ch. 13 bankruptcy cases and probate matters. In February 2009, she joined a small firm to practice exclusively in Bankruptcy Law. After the filing of bankruptcy cases declined dramatically, Laurie rejoined Horizons Law Group to pursue a practice focusing on student loan defense, consumer law, litigation, probate matters and the occasional bankruptcy.
