I had a very complex situation with my daughter A., who was adopted from Kazakhstan but did not enter the U.S. until after her eighteenth birthday, and whose green card paperwork was (unbeknownst to us) mislaid by the embassy in Astana. Thus A. found herself in the U.S. with a visa in her passport th...at said she was a permanent resident, but no records with Homeland Security showing that she had ever applied for a green card. Kristy helped us get all that mess straightened out, and then handled the subsequent immigration issues for my daughter's husband R., a Kazakh national in the U.S. initially on a student visa whose status was threatened when he went into the hospital and had to temporarily drop below 12 credits for one semester. Very messy, but now A. is a U.S. citizen and R. has his green card, and Kristy was outstanding throughout the whole process. Plus it was VERY nice not to have to serve as translator for my Russian-only-speaking daughter (Kristy's Russian is I think rather better than my own, and I'm pretty good at it). Just consistently outstanding work over a two- to three-year period. Couldn't recommend her more highly.
