I hired Attorney Costello and his team at Costello and McCormack, P.C. to help me through my divorce, he kept his promise by fixing my problems and getting me the financial support and property that I deserved from my marriage. I am 100% satisfied with the result of my case.
Attorney Costello and his associates kept me informed through every step of the divorce proceeding and returned all my phone calls and emials the very same day. They ensured that I was happy with every decision along the way and they were always availabe when I needed to talk. In my opinion, Attorney Costello's billing was very fair and his advice and the ultimate outcome of my case was well worth the money spent. If you want good quality work done, you have to expect a price that will match the work and I definitely received the service I paid for.
He is a smart, strong advocate and is also a very compassionate person. In my opinion, He is one of the best attorneys I have ever hired. Highly recommended!
Strong representation in my divorce
I had an excellent experience with Kieran Costello and all the attorneys at Costello and McCormack. Attorney Costello was extremely knowledgeable about the divorce process and the way to get the best settlement for my case. I thought I knew about my husbands finances, but Kieran uncovered the truth and I received a favorable divorce settlement. Kieran was the tough attorney I needed for my case. While he was tough arguing my case, he was very compassionate and patient with me - I needed that too. Costello and McCormack's billing was fair and clear.
Seemed caring but steered me the wrong way
I believe on the one hand Kieran means well, that he is a good person at heart. Unfortunately, the facts of his representation of me illustrate the poor footing I had as a start of a long legal battle as Defendant Mother in what should have been a straight forward child custody case.
He told me when I interviewed him that my case was simple and straightforward, so that the $2500 retainer I gave him would be all we need to get the basics done. I spent only 3 months with he and his colleague Claire (who was incredibly responsive and caring, smart) and my bill tallied in excess of $25,000. When I disputed the final large bill he sent as I was changing representation, he filed a lawsuit in civil court against me and served me papers.
He permitted the counter lawyer on the case (the Plaintiff's lawyer) to dispose me for hours without any trial dates scheduled and only 6 weeks after my c-section giving birth to my son. He was not firm, did not stand up for me in a family relations meeting whereby a visitation schedule for my newborn was put into play that was 50% more time / frequency than was not at all feasible with the estranged, very aggressive and abusive father of my son.
From all that I've learned the last 2+ years in the court system, his approach is not one I'd recommend.
He was very effective in communicating and winning his/our position to Probate Court on a separate but related matter, and for that I'm very grateful.

What the reviewer fails to include in her comments is that her matter required many court appearances in three separate court proceedings in three different courts - criminal, family and probate court. When initially retained there was only a family court case for which I was to provide legal representation. Depositions are standard in contested custody matters and was agreed to in writing by the reviewer.. Indeed, the reviewer requested that the deposition be scheduled on a particular date which was convenient to her. I never indicated the total fee to be charged. The reviewer ultimately paid a compromised amount of fees after it was negotiated in a friendly telephone conversation. I know that the reviewer received quality legal representation from me and my office. I am proud of the work we performed and I firmly believe that the reviewer was in a better place after my representation.
