Attorney Kieran Costello was a on top of my divorce case right from the start. He was diligent in pursuing settlement, but very able in front of judge, which was necessary at several points during the case. I appreciate the time and effort he and his team put into my matter, and was very happy with... the results. His office was prompt with billing, so that I was able to understand the progress of my case and could evaluate my options accordingly. Highly recommend.

I believe on the one hand Kieran means well, that he is a good person at heart. Unfortunately, the facts of his representation of me illustrate the poor footing I had as a start of a long legal battle as Defendant Mother in what should have been a straight forward child custody case. He told me wh...en I interviewed him that my case was simple and straightforward, so that the $2500 retainer I gave him would be all we need to get the basics done. I spent only 3 months with he and his colleague Claire (who was incredibly responsive and caring, smart) and my bill tallied in excess of $25,000. When I disputed the final large bill he sent as I was changing representation, he filed a lawsuit in civil court against me and served me papers. He permitted the counter lawyer on the case (the Plaintiff's lawyer) to dispose me for hours without any trial dates scheduled and only 6 weeks after my c-section giving birth to my son. He was not firm, did not stand up for me in a family relations meeting whereby a visitation schedule for my newborn was put into play that was 50% more time / frequency than was not at all feasible with the estranged, very aggressive and abusive father of my son. From all that I've learned the last 2+ years in the court system, his approach is not one I'd recommend. He was very effective in communicating and winning his/our position to Probate Court on a separate but related matter, and for that I'm very grateful.

I hired Kieran to help with a simple modification because my dauther turned 18. He said it could be done for the $2500 I gave him at our first meeting. We had not even gone to court and the bill was an additional $11,000 which he knew I did not have. I fired him. He got a judgement against me and... tried to foreclose on my house.
