After much thought and reflection, I am posting here about my experience working with attorney, Kevin Pierre. Some of you are in indescribable physical and mental pain and distress from the ordeal you have suffered, and at this point, I feel a responsibility to do the right thing. Kevin was referred ...to me by one of my closest and dearest friends in October 2023. In the beginning, Kevin was accessible and generally very communicative. When I had issues getting to my various medical appointments, his firm provided transportation. However, communication with Kevin became strained to the point of being painful. His general temperament was defensive. He was defensive in his responses to the simplest inquiries. He was often irritated if I followed up with him regarding a course of action that he had changed without explanation. He was condescending when I didn’t use the legal terms correctly. I was so shocked and blindsided by this behavior. Why did I stay? Honestly, I could not afford the holistic care I needed without the settlement money. My shoulder blade was hurting to the point where wearing a bra was no longer possible. While Kevin’s behavior was egregious and unacceptable, I continued on, breathing through the anxiety when I saw his name on my phone, deliberately limiting and over analyzing my own responses, apologizing even when I had nothing wrong. I just wanted peace. I just wanted to get the money and move on. I told myself that as long as competence was not an issue, I could hold on a little longer. However, competence did become an issue. After he sent the demand letter, and I received the initial offer which was basically nothing, when we spoke on the phone, Kevin could not quote the total medical bills. He kept changing the number. Again, I was shocked. I knew that I made a terrible decision by sticking with Kevin. There are other issues I can mention, but I end here. I leave this business transaction with more trauma than what I came with. Please, please do your research when choosing a personal injury attorney. If you choose an attorney that’s just not a fit, LEAVE! No one should have to experience what I have experienced especially when this person ultimately gets 33% of the settlement money despite how low it is.
