I came to this law firm in hopes of receiving assistance in an immigration case for a K-1 Visa. I paid them upfront. The next day I contacted them to let them know that my fiancé changed her mind and no longer wished to proceed. I contacted the paralegal that I had worked with in the firm to let her ...know of this and I had asked her for a refund since the paperwork had not even been started on the case and nothing has been filed, she did let me know that it usually takes a month to process the refund, to which I understood. A month passed by and I had not received anything, I became concerned and called the firm and left them a voicemail and received no response. I then went on and emailed the paralegal and she said that Mr. Heupel is the one that is responsible for issuing refunds and she said that she would forward my email to him. I waited a couple of days hoping to get some answers, but received nothing. I decided to drive down to the firm and speak to her and hopefully Mr. Heupel, unfortunately the only person that I managed to speak with was the Office Manager who informed me that Mr. Heupel is in court, but he would pass down my information to him as soon as he sees him. I eventually did get an email from Mr. Heupel, who had informed me that he was in court all this time, but will issue the check to me this week. It is now two weeks later and no refund. I called and left a voicemail along with an email and still no response. All in all it is a total of two months that have passed by and nothing. I doubt that I will receive anything from these people, I would like to advise anyone looking for assistance from Heupel Law to look somewhere else or else you will find yourself with less cash in your pocket.

I don't normally write reviews, but I felt that others should know about Heupel Law. Once you meet with a staff member they are really nice and that is about all the nice things I have to say. That and Mr. Heupel's office was really pretty. Prior to giving over your cash for them to represent you th...ey are quick to respond to your questions. But, once you pay them the service is awful. For the money we paid them this office is the most unresponsive ever. We had simple questions in regard to our case, rarely were they answered via the phone but over email which isn't that bad. But in most cases our questions were not answered after even 2 to 3 phone calls, emails plus a fax. If you do use Heupel try to get a direct phone number and don't go thru the front desk, good luck if you do. After a week of trying to get someone to answer 1 question we are still waiting for a reply/phone call. Take your money elsewhere.

I interviewed three different law firms for my bankruptcy. I found Heupel Law to be the most "down to earth", the most knowledgeable, the most responsive, and the most economical. At my first free consultation Mike made a statement that truly made a difference in how I viewed my bankruptcy. He said..., "Even though this feels so emotional, it is truly a financial decision." At my second meeting with Nancy she reiterated what Mike had said and answered all my questions in lay terms that I could understand. At my third meeting with Kevin, we finalized the bankruptcy and went over expectations for the court meeting. He was very thorough to make sure he totally understood the particulars of my case. We reviewed all the documents to make sure everything was correct. At the fourth and final meeting at the bankruptcy court the paralegal once again went over exactly what would take place in the court room, what would be asked of us. She was very well organized, thorough and specific. The lawyer who was in the court room with me was very kind, understanding how intimidating this can be for someone. This team made a very difficult emotional situation easier to journey through.

I have never had to get an attorney before this so I was kind of weary on where to go and who to choose. Just the thought of filing bankruptcy is so unnerving. I was talking to a friend about it and they recommended Heupel Law, as their employer had worked with them in the past and they really enjo...yed their experience with them. Heupel Law made the process very smooth, and they made sure I understood everything that was going on. They were very good at keeping me updated and when I did have a question, they were quick to get back to me. My overall experience with Heupel Law was outstanding and I would recommend them to anyone.

The decision to file bankruptcy was very difficult. After many months of incredible stress, worried sick, sleepless nights, I realized even though I had not missed or been late on any of my payments to creditors and my credit score was actually more than acceptable, I could not ever get any farth...er than paying minimum payments. After seeing Kevin on Haystack many times, I decided it was time. I made my first call to Heupel Law, spoke with Mike, had my first appt within a few days, beginning the process. Had I known way back what I learned since the virst phone call, I would have pursued bankruptcy a long time ago. Everyone that I encountred at Heupel was very professional,caring and respectful. Observing the other cases at the hearing, I have to say, I was more than pleased to have Kevin as my attorney.
