As a child of divorced parents, Katrina considers herself to have started her career in family law as a young teen and has used her personal experiences to sharpen her legal skills. Family law has been, and continues to be, the sole focus of her practice.
Katrina earned her B.A. In Psychology with a minor in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA, and her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law.
Katrina officially began exploring her passion during law school, by volunteering with the King County Bar Association Pro Bono services. There she supported unrepresented litigants by walking them through their sensitive divorce and custody procedures, as well as those striving for third-party custody of loved ones. As if that did not fill her cup enough, Katrina was then fortunate to work alongside her first mentor, solo family law practitioner Helene Ellenbogen, which exposed her to complex financial litigation and high-conflict parenting plan issues.
After passing the bar in 2017, Katrina went into private practice and has been representing clients in family law matters in Thurston, Lewis, Grays Harbor, and Mason Counties.
Through her experiences, Katrina learned how overwhelming even the most “simple” process could look to families and has taken this outlook with her while engaging with her current clients. She is especially cognizant of the fact that litigation does not occur in a vacuum; its effects reverberate through every aspect of a client’s life and into their future.

Katrina saved me from the trenches!
Katrina was absolutely amazing. From start to finish of my case she made sure to communicate effectively, respond timely, and helped me understand the process. Before hiring Katrina my case was a mess created by a less than desirable previous attorney. I was afraid there was no hope for my case. ...

Sneaky
I wrote about 7 emails asking for receipts for work done. Her name was being billed for my case. She never responded about me asking for hours that Morris & Sockle charged for her. Morris & Sockle gave me the billing statements after they were sure I could not file them in court on time. So many othe...
*it appears that after receiving additional information from the reviewer, this individual was/is not a client of mine. I did not bill time for this client and my response below remains accurate* Hello. Thank you for your feedback. Although I could not respond to your complaint even if your name was provided due to ethical limitations, I would like to discuss your concerns since I have not received seven, or otherwise multiple emails from a client, requesting clarification on hours billed. It is our policy to provide a billing statement at the end of every month, as well as a draft statement at any time upon a client's request. Although I do not know the specifics of what occurred, I can assure you that our office does not intentionally withhold receipts or other information to purposefully prejudice a client's case upon our withdrawal. Should you have any questions, or wish to discuss your concern further, please feel free to contact our office at 360-866-7100.

Good sales pitch, horrible follow through
She talks a good game but her lack of communication skills and no professionalism was determintal to my case. She also wouldn't return any emails, phone calls for 30 days. She also did not even provide any guidance with any statements to the courts. Avoid her and save your money.
Dear Matt: As an attorney, I am constrained from the ethical rules of the Washington State Bar from responding in detail, but I will simply state that the comments posed do not illustrate an accurate picture of what occurred. Although an attorney can present a "game plan" and path toward a favorable resolution, that resolution is as equally dependent on the follow through of a client. I understand that the steps outlined by an attorney may not always be agreeable to a client, but I feel strongly that appeasing a client to help avoid a difficult step is not in their best interest, even if this causes a discord in the attorney-client relationship. Should you wish to discuss your concerns further, please feel free to reach out to us at 360-866-7100.
