I proudly admit to representing and protecting consumer's rights within the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Utah. I recognize that most people do not plan to file a Bankruptcy, but their life circumstances have often placed them in a position that seeking protection under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code is the only viable alternative to allow them to focus on the more important elements of their life.

My reputation, knowledge and experience is very well established and recognized within the Bankruptcy community. I aggressively defend my clients when Creditors and Trustees attempt to assert they have committed some type of wrongdoing, when they have not done so. You deserve to have a well experienced and knowledgeable Attorney protect your rights when litigation within the Bankruptcy Court is commenced.

There are steps that can be taken to protect the one major asset that you have sought to obtain throughout your life. Your home is much more than a mere building structure. When you are faced with the jeopardy of losing your home, there are normally options available to you which would require the mortgage company to allow you an opportunity to cure the payments that you are behind in submitting.

Thank You Jory

My wife and I recently filed a very complicated Chapter 7. Jory was very compassionate through this entire process. During the process our case was randomly selected for federal review. He walked us through the whole process and accurately predicted the favorable outcome. He made a very difficult pr...ocess manageable and helped us navigate the whole way through the process. We highly recommend Jory! Thanks Jory!!!

There is no down side to hiring Jory Trease!

Jory was recommended to me by two bankruptcy attorneys as being the best bankruptcy attorney in the state of Utah, and as far as my wife and I are concerned, they were absolutely correct. I went to the initial consolation alone. While there, he clearly explained our options and the potential conseque...nces of those options. I had anticipated making an appointment with at least two other attorneys to evaluate which one to employ. While meeting with Jory, I felt peacefulness and calmness, and I knew that I had found the right attorney. Our bankruptcy involved some complicated issues regarding a family trust. Some adversarial family members and their attorney made a surprise showing at our meeting of creditors and complicated and prolonged our case unnecessarily based on false information that neither they nor their crack attorney had bothered to verify. Throughout the entire process, Jory remained calm, confident, and spot-on with his advice, explanations, and predictions of outcomes. We had a house in another state that was tied up with the family trust. At the meeting of creditors, the bankruptcy trustee's preliminary ruling was that our debt secured by the house would not be allowed to be discharged by giving the house to the creditor (the Trust). Afterwards, Jory's response to this situation was that the trustee simply had not yet read our case and that once having done so, he (the trustee) would change that ruling. Of course Jory was correct. Jory always took whatever time necessary to explain to us all the issues and to address all of our concerns. We never felt rushed or as though he had anything more important to do than to help us to understand our case and to alleviate our concerns. His explanations are thorough and always easy to understand. He has NEVER led us wrong. Even when what he advised has seemed illogical in our minds, it has always inevitably turned out to be the right thing to do. Through the course of our case, Jory has had to write letters to creditors and to the family members' attorney, usually to address mistakes that the opposing parties have made. His letters are expertly crafted and have always brought about the desired outcome. There is no down side to hiring Jory Trease. We most highly recommend him for anyone going through the stresses of bankruptcy!

Great law firm!

I have worked with Jory Trease and Janci Lawes and I can honestly say that both lawyers (and their support staff) have been wonderful to work with! They make things as easy as possible, when dealing with bankruptcy issues. Any time I had a question, they were very quick to get back to me and they ma...de sure I understood all the options I had and I was treated with kindness and respect. Nobody wants to have to file bankruptcy, but if you find yourself in the situation to need a bankruptcy lawyer, I would highly recommend Jory Trease!

"I have absolutely no concern in endorsing Jory Trease. I have been involved in the bankruptcy law community since 1991 and have known Mr. Trease for many years now. During this time I have had a chance to hear him argue several case matters before the Bankruptcy Court, confer with him on several occasions regarding bankruptcy case issues, and review his responses and opinions on many legal topics and issues that have arisen in the bankruptcy community over the years. His knowledge of the bankruptcy law is complete and unsurpassed, and his legal reasoning is sound. In my opinion, Jory Trease is an elite bankruptcy attorney and without a doubt one of the top bankruptcy attorneys in Utah."

"I endorse this lawyer. I have worked with Jory since 1997. The easiest way to describe Jory is brilliant. Whenever another attorney in the valley needs help, they call Jory. While he and don't practice in the same areas of law, I have always found him to be a reliable and solid sounding board. There are attorneys out there that may charge less, but frankly you get what you pay for. The other attorney's call him regarding bankruptcy because they know who to go to when they need the best."
