Jonathan Kent Askvig

Mr. Askvig was more concerned with churning fees than to do any work. In the last six months he represented me, I can honestly say he did nothing except send me a bill each month for 1K -1.5K. Most of the bills were for telephone calls. I would call him looking for answers only to get voicemail. ...I would call once per week - afterall A trial was fast approaching and he was completely and totally out of touch. he never responded to voicemail or email inquiries, but he certainly billed me for reading them / listening to them. He had no interest whatsoever in solving any problems. In fact, because he was so unresponsive, he cost me a ton of money. The final straw was when, 6 months after I thought discovery was over and taken care of, I found he NEVER submitted the discovery docs to the court. The lawyer I hired to replace this firm was stunned by the lack of work content in any of the files turned over to the new firm. I basically had to start over from scratch because of the disjointed way Mr. Askvig did his work.

Jon was recommended to me through another attorney. Although going through a divorce with children, and owning my own business, was extremely difficult, Jon was extremely knowledgeable, intelligent and thoughtful in his anaylses. He had the ability to understand complex financial issues as well as ...the more emotional issues surrounding custody of my children. I would highly recommend Jon.
