Jon was extremely knowledgeable about the entire Family Law process from beginning to end. From our first meeting he explained the process and what I could expect. Mr. Askvig was more concerned with churning fees than to do any work. In the last six months he represented me, I can honestly say he did nothing except send me a bill each month for 1K -1.5K. Most of the bills were for telephone calls. I would call him looking for answers only to get voicemail. ...I would call once per week - afterall A trial was fast approaching and he was completely and totally out of touch. he never responded to voicemail or email inquiries, but he certainly billed me for reading them / listening to them. He had no interest whatsoever in solving any problems. In fact, because he was so unresponsive, he cost me a ton of money. The final straw was when, 6 months after I thought discovery was over and taken care of, I found he NEVER submitted the discovery docs to the court. The lawyer I hired to replace this firm was stunned by the lack of work content in any of the files turned over to the new firm. I basically had to start over from scratch because of the disjointed way Mr. Askvig did his work.
