I hired Mr. Askvig for my divorce case. I did not feel he was a good advocate for me. He did not give me any advice regarding what needs to be done to stay away from more troubles in the future. I have stayed very tangled with my ex on many issues that could be prevented if Mr. Askvig would have d...iscussed with me some of the possible options. I feel that he left me in the dark most of the times. Also, he was not very responsive.

Mr. Askvig was more concerned with churning fees than to do any work. In the last six months he represented me, I can honestly say he did nothing except send me a bill each month for 1K -1.5K. Most of the bills were for telephone calls. I would call him looking for answers only to get voicemail. ...I would call once per week - afterall A trial was fast approaching and he was completely and totally out of touch. he never responded to voicemail or email inquiries, but he certainly billed me for reading them / listening to them. He had no interest whatsoever in solving any problems. In fact, because he was so unresponsive, he cost me a ton of money. The final straw was when, 6 months after I thought discovery was over and taken care of, I found he NEVER submitted the discovery docs to the court. The lawyer I hired to replace this firm was stunned by the lack of work content in any of the files turned over to the new firm. I basically had to start over from scratch because of the disjointed way Mr. Askvig did his work.
