I hired Jessica to help with my divorce and child custody matters. She took time to understand my concerns and desires. She was honest with me if she thought I was being unreasonable. She really had my and my kid's best interests at heart. She and her staff were very accessible and responsive. G...oing through a divorce is extremely tough. I thought the support I received was very good. Jessica was great at returning my calls and guiding me through the process of having my support modified due to a significant change in my employment. If I have any critical comment it would be how the communication was handled with my Ex. Based on my... Ex's desire not to spend the money to secure representation of her own, she continually pushed communication through Jessica which wound up costing me much more than I felt I should have had to be responsible for as any communication she had with Jessica was billed to me. I would have thought my Ex should have been advised if she wanted to "use" my attorney, it would be billed to her. In the end I am pleased with the results as my initial request was awarded. I would suggest a little more clarity on how and when charges are applied when the opposing party chooses not to retain counsel.

Jessica handles the lawyer 'small stuff' like a champion: returns calls, answers emails, listens carefully instead of waiting to speak, speaks calmly/clearly, thinks about the meter running when things are running long. She is consistent in this and setting expectations about availability and covera...ge. Beyond the stunning work ethic and professionalism, she presents a remakable person: a steady personality, an effective communicator, an empathetic and direct analyst of what she sees and anticipates. Finally she brings to this mix the capability of a well trained, highly apt attorney: she understands eventualities as they could unfold in some level of intricacy but simplifies them tremendously without sacrificing truth; she directs potential strategies as good or bad maintaining adherence to the goals laid out up front; she speaks clearly to risk, materiality, objective without taking much time to do it. And, as you might guess, she is extremely versed in the law, the conventions of the court, the perspective of the judge etc. What she does not know outright she will lookup and communicate directly. Her more general and broad advice as counsel is solid and real-life. The details of my divorce are not pretty -- they involve a betrayal of trust after 25 years and a resistance to every practical and affordable path to negotiate from my ex. There was plenty for me to be sad about and find frustrating while I tried to keep matters focused on the best, fastest, sustainable end with support arrangements. All of this to say, my troubles were not garden variety in some ways, and in other ways they were, but she always maintained a tone of confidence in kindness as a partner with me in resolving this.
