The third party insurance company, Mercury Insurance, settled the claim for the maximum policy limit allowing us to then make a claim with my client's insurance company, USAA. We were able to obtain the full policy limit of my client's uninsured/underinsured motorist's policy.

My client was a patient at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center. While admitted to the hospital, she obtained a CT scan with contrast. The radiology technician at the hospital put the wrong size ne ... edle for the contrast solution in my client's hand. After inserting the contrast solution, my client's vein ruptured and the solution entered her blood stream. Surgery was performed to remove the solution. Unfortunately, surgery was not done fast enough and my client suffered compartment syndrome and lost significant function of her hand. We were able to obtain a significant six- figure settlement for my client.

My client, while riding his brand new Kawasaki sport bike was hit by an SUV. My client had no recollection of what happened. The SUV driver's insurance company claimed that my client was speeding, tha ... t he blew a red light and denied the claim. I had my investigator jump on the case. He was able to locate an eyeball witness, another biker, that saw the entire accident go down. We got a great statement from the witness that identified the SUV driver as the clear cause of the accident. The SUV driver's insurance company went crazy when I sent them the signed witness statement. This case quickly settled for the full policy limit. Needless to say, my client was very happy with the outcome as it was way more than he expected.

My client was riding a Yamaha in Santa Paula on his way home from work. A van came from the opposite direction made a sudden left turn directly into the path of my client causing the collision. I hired a forensic accident reconstruction engineer, filed a lawsuit, took multiple depositions including that of a key witness who disputed the insurance company's attempt to blame my client for the accident. This case settled shortly before trial for full value.

I collected that full amount then made an under-insured motorist claim with Allstate Insurance, my client's insurance carrier. Allstate would not offer more than $60,000. I requested Arbitration, litigated the claim then had an Arbitration hearing, receiving an award of $250,000.
