Do not hire!

Ms. Preston may be the most unprofessional person I have ever came across. She made promises of everything that she could do for me but failed miserably. She was completely unprepared and showed up an hour late to court each time. She gave poor legal advice setting me up for more legal trouble. Hiri...ng her as my attorney was like throwing my money into the garbage can. I would have been better off representing myself.

The woman who posted this review details inaccurate and highly exaggerated statements. This review is the very first poor review I have received in my career. The very sad fact is that I charged her less than 1/3 of my typical, and lower end, hourly rate, i.e. $35-50 per hour. I did so because a previous attorney handled her divorce and custody case, filed documents, allegedly, without her knowledge or consent, and purportedly berated her for the acts she committed while married, stating she deserved to struggle financially because of those acts. The custody agreement was very vague and allowed for her former spouse to harass her on a regular basis. He filed a contempt petition against her, and the contempt action is the matter in which I provided representation. The judge presiding over the matter directed me to question the plaintiff without his attorney present. Obviously, his attorney was livid and made issue after the fact. Ultimately, my client was granted the relief she sought in having more definitive parameters as to telephone visitation. That said, the judge split the baby and, while denying his petition, granted Plaintiff attorneys’ fees. I can only assume the judge knew he had made a poor judgment call and was attempting to please all involved to the extent possible. I offered to file a motion to reconsider as the ruling was nonsensical. I had joined a new firm and, out of principle, it agreed for me to handle the motion to reconsider and any subsequent hearings, etc., for a flat fee of $500. The woman that left this ridiculous review could not gather the funds from her grandfather, which is what she indicated she intended to do, or elsewhere. Only after her inability to pay the minimal fee (although she was able to afford a half body tattoo during my practically pro bono representation) and my firm’s disallowing me to continue handling the matter as a result did she write this review. To support my rebuttal, I have many emails and text messages from this very client praising my work throughout the court proceedings. This client truly made me reconsider helping others to the degree I helped her.

Custody

Cassie's abilities helped me win custody of my son. She continued to give me hope during the process. She had great organizational skills and was thoroughly prepared for mediation and court. My son is now living with me, in private school, and doing well. He has hope for a much brighter future. I hig...hly recommend her.

Amazing!

Cassie was a lifesaver during a difficult divorce. She took over from another attorney who'd collected a lot of money but did nothing for me but drag out the divorce. Her confidence was a must in my case, but it somehow transferred over to me. I'm forever grateful.
