Biography
I have worked in the immigration field since 2007. I started as an immigration attorney in the Kansas City area following a stint with Peace Corps Guatemala as a municipal advisor, where I worked both for a small firm and then had my own practice. I then left private practice in 2011 to join USCIS as an asylum officer. I worked for over nine years in the asylum and refugee programs in various capacities before heading back home to Kansas to work for McDonald Tinker as an Immigration Attorney in Wichita.
I have experience in all areas of immigration law and speak fluent Spanish. My emphasis is on asylum, family immigration, waivers, naturalization, and removal defense. I worked extensively with employment based immigration and I-9 compliance before joining the government.
