Emerald is a fantastic divorce lawyer. After my initial consultation I immediately knew I wanted her to represent me in my divorce. I found Emerald searching the internet as I needed to find a lawyer with experience with pet custody. My two dogs are my top priority, and I was not leaving them with my... ex-husband. Emerald explained what my options were and what I can do to not jeopardize the custody of my dogs. She took her time in letting me know my rights in the state of NJ and what documentation she needed to begin the process. Thankfully, my divorce was very straightforward and not complicated (no children, no assets together, accounts all kept separately, etc.). My main concern was that my ex would come after the dogs. He ultimately waived his right to have the dogs, so it all worked out. In a matter of months were able to sign the divorce agreement. Unfortunately, Hudson County was the roadblock in getting the divorce finalized. I give Emerald all the kudos in the world in following up with the court to get our docket number and then continuous follow-up to get the meeting with the judge that ultimately was the last step in finalizing my divorce. Had it not been for Emerald’s persistence I think I’d still be waiting for that court date. I absolutely recommend Emerald and her services. She’s a fantastic person to work with and extremely friendly. Also, don’t be afraid if you have any doubt as I immediately knew she can play hard ball and will advocate for you even if your ex is a difficult person and rude. I work in corporate America and have seen all types of personalities and people; I knew once I met Emerald she could go toe to toe with anyone if needed. All in all, my experience with Emerald and her office was fantastic.
