Highly Reccomend

Elizabeth Smith was extremely helpful in guiding me through the process of divorce to a settlement that I was happy with. Her kind disposition made this excruciating process manageable. Her knowledge and experience was invaluable throughout my entire process.

Unequivocally the *BEST* advocate you could have

Beth Smith is the best advocate you could ever have. Advocate - someone to fight for you, someone to support you, someone to argue for you, your champion. She was highly recommended and far exceeded my expectation of what working with an attorney on a divorce could be like. She is highly professi...onal, incredibly smart, resourceful, tenacious, tireless and caring. Let me say more about caring. Divorce is a stressful process and Beth helps you to make the best of it - she is calm, supportive, empathetic and when appropriate, humorous. She will help you work through your priorities, financial and emotional, give you all the options, assist you to make the best decisions, develop a strategy and work until she achieves your goals. She is also strong, and tough and aggressive if that's what the situation calls for. She is incredibly responsive. We ended up in mediation over the Memorial Day holiday and she made herself available over the holiday as well as during a family vacation, later in the process. She answers emails early and late (I don't know when she sleeps!) and phone calls even when she has court dates. Her firm is also very responsive. They keep costs down - they are the opposite of churners, they do everything possible so that your case is resolved and only undertakes necessary to accomplish that. Beth is an excellent communicator - she explains everything very clearly and will lay out scenarios and the associated costs of different paths of action. She is thorough, careful, and catches every detail. She had to be very resourceful to move my case along because the opposing attorney was unresponsive and did the bare minimum. Getting a settlement conference scheduled was a major achievement . Beth Smith is the best advocate you could ever have.

Excellent lawyer, decent person

Elizabeth supported me in a very long and complicated legal matter with my ex-wife. She was very knowledgeable, super organized and hardworking. Beth is a very nice person and she helped me a lot in finding peace of mind in this very hectic situation. I feel that Beth would be an ideal attorney wh...en both party have good will to compromise and work on win-win solution. Unfortunately my case was nothing like this. We faced a very aggressive attorney and my ability to work together with my ex was very limited. Knowing what I know today I would say that Beth was not the best attorney for my case. She just does not enjoy aggressive litigations and it shows. I must add that when it became clear how aggressive the case was going to be Elizabeth explicitly recommended to find another attorney. It was my decision not to do that. By the way, I consider the litigation result to be a great success. Mainly because of the multiple mistakes my ex made. If more attorneys were like Elizabeth, the world would be much better place.

Call Beth First

I had a very serious custody issue with my 14 year old after having been divorced for 12 years. I went to the largest local family law firm, where nothing was done to ease my situation (precious time, money and emotion were wasted). A friend found Beth's name and said "I have a good feeling about her...." JACKPOT. Based on the facts I gave to Beth in our first meeting, she gave me a realistic perspective on our chances of having this work out in my son's favor, followed by a solid explanation of how she came to this. I was able to move forward with a feeling of conviction instead of one of blind faith. Very important. Aside from Beth being an expert family law attorney, it is the manner in which she works - smartly using her knowledge and experience in family matters and in court, an ability to focus on facts, staying grounded, asking every pertinent question (including uncomfortable but necessary ones), and gathering exactly the information that is needed, all with gentle assurance and measurable goals in sight - that makes her different. The paralegal in her office is so respectful and pleasant to deal with, which is simply an extension of the grace that Beth exudes. She has an innate understanding of what helps her clients: less stress, honesty, respect, a defined path, and professionalism. Her original perspective was correct, I will seek only her counsel going forward, and I refer her to anyone who asks. Call Beth First.

Diligent Knowledgeable Excellent Service

We needed to hire Beth twice for two separate matters. The first was with my husband's difficult ex-wife. Beth worked diligently with us to achieve a positive outcome. We unfortunately need to go to Court during our action. Beth proved to be knowledgeable, a quick thinker, tenacious yet fair in C...ourt. She was a stabilizing force in the midst of emotional chaos. We hired Beth again when we needed to file for Custody of our grandchildren. At Court again, we realized how well respected Beth is by the Court and their staff. Both times we felt we received excellent service from her and her staff.
