Doug is the best attorney I've had by far. Very attentive to your needs, gets all the information and does a lot of research. Doug defended me and my partner in a civil rights lawsuit. Doug was tenacious in our defense while remaining ethical to the legal process. Our case spent over six years from the time the suit was filed in federal court until we were acquitted in 2013. Years ago, I had the unfortunate experience of being named in a federal lawsuit. When I learned of the lawsuit, I had no idea what to expect. I was overwhelmed with feelings of anxiety and confusion as I did not understand how simply doing my job could result in a lawsuit. Doug always stopped for questions, and often reminded me that he would spend as much time answering questions as necessary for me to understand the situation and feel at ease. I will be honest here and say that, as such things can take years to resolve, stress has a way of poking its ugly head up even after its been put to rest. Doug never hesitated to remind me of things previously explained, and was always a friend to me when I just needed to vent. Looking back, I always knew I had done my job, and that the lawsuit was frivolous. However, federal court is not a picnic, no matter how much in the right you are. It is by nature a stressful experience. Seeing Doug in the courtroom, representing me, was also quite an experience. However, nothing about that part was stressful. Watching Doug work was extremely comforting. Doug represented me thoroughly at every step of the way; he kept me informed every step of the way; and his level of knowledge surpasses any attorney I have met before or since. I count Doug as one of the most trustworthy individuals I have ever met, and I consider him a friend to this day.
