About Matthew
Biography
Matt is a litigator, currently serving as a contractor in the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division. He has litigated cases in both state and federal courts, both at the trial and appellate levels. During his legal career, he has also worked for the United Nations in the Netherlands and Cambodia.
While in law school at the University of Chicago, Matt served as president of the International Law Society (2007-08) and as vice president of the Black Law Students Association (2006-07). Following graduation, he clerked for the Honorable Elaine M. Houghton at Division Two of the Washington Court of Appeals.
Matt began his career as a litigator at the county prosecutor's office in Seattle.
