One of a kind experience and result

There is a lot I could say about the wonderful experience I've had while working with David but the reviews speak for themselves. First of all, I have NEVER experienced such superb communication, starting with the initial consultation and ending with my rights being restored. Throughout the entire p...rocess I knew exactly when the petition was filed, when it was reviewed, when it was signed, sent off to various agencies for updates, etc., et. I have never waited more than half a day for a response to any of my inquiries or concerns. Having had a colorful past, having spent so much time and effort cleaning up the wreckage, I was very concerned and involved, yet David and his firm always made me feel as if I was their priority.... THAT to me is priceless. Because of a misdemeanor conviction almost 20 years ago, my Second Amendment rights were taken away. 4 months ago I called David and today I have my CPL and have made, and was approved for my first purchase. David thank you and your team for being so wonderful and making an otherwise rigorous process seem so seamless!

An expert in his field

Mr. Newman offered expert consultation and review of my firearms rights restoration case. I accepted a deferred dismissal in A 10 year old California DV case. While not barring me in California, Washington law prohibited me from possesing a firearm. This was a surprise to me, as I had purchased sever...al firearms in California. I researched Washington law and spok3 to three other attorneys. Another "google" attorney who supposedely specializes in this field heard the word California and basically refused my case and would not even let me speak. She said "it's a CA problem". Some specialist. Mr. Newman spoke with me, listened to my circumstances, and explained the process. He reviewed the CA case, researched my eligibility for restoration, and advised me the enitire way. He was available throughout the process and always provided the answers I was needed. Not just an expert in his field but, a true gentleman. And of course once reviewing my eligibility, delivered the results he promised. I was able to purchase a pistol legally. I would recommend Mr. Newman highly to anyone.

Gun rights restoration with special circumstnace

From the very first call to the completion of my firearm rights restoration, Mr. Newman exceeded my expectations of: communication, responsiveness, and professionalism. My case was not a normal firearms restoration case; I was original cited as a felon in possession of a firearm because my rights wer...e not restored and my lack of information on my current firearm status. This was very alarming considering that a felon in possession of a firearm has a mandatory five year sentence. I immediately got on the internet, started my research and called lawyers. The incident happened on Saturday, and I started calling lawyers on Monday. The responses I got to my case were across the board, from: “You’re pretty much screwed” to “You got nothing to worry about.” The later responses were reassuring; however, most did not come with a plan on how I should not worry. Then I called the Rainier Law Firm and spoke to Mr. David M. Newman, and he was courteous and listened to my case. He immediately recognized the potential severity of my situation and laid out a plan on how to alleviate my situation. I’m sure Mr. Newman had larger cases and with greater concern, but he made me feel that my case was his top priority, not only through communications, but through actions and consistent updates on my case status. His rates for my case were very reasonable, even before the unexpected refund! My experience with Mr. Newman has been exceptionally awesome, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in the same situation.

Criminal history correction and restoration of rights to own firearms

My legal issues involved an incomplete criminal history record with the Washington State Patrol’s database and the loss of my rights to own a firearm dating back to a 1983 felony offense. I received a deferred sentence and in 1985 my “Guilty” plea was reversed to “Not Guilty.” When I attempted to p...urchase a firearm, the NICS system denied the transaction and I was informed that the State of Washington needed to restore my rights to own a firearm, which seemed like a daunting task since I now live in Texas. I reached out to the Rainier Law group from the positive reviews that I found for David Newman. We spoke on the phone and I answered his questions. He reported that I would not need to travel to Washington State. David kept me informed through every step of the process. He also emailed me with regular updates and copies of emails and court filings. Though over 2,000 miles away, I never felt uninformed through the entire process. David’s professionalism resulted in the updating of my criminal history records and the restoring of my rights to own a firearm. I highly recommend David Newman and most appreciate the service he provided me.

Accomplished what we set out to do

I had what I think was sort of an odd problem, a 40 year old marijuana possession charge that became a felony in 2001 when the records were computerized and my firearms rights were suddenly denied. I'd been battling this for 10 years, including a full pardon from the Governor of Nebraska. Firearms ...purchases were still denied. Mr. Newman presented me with choices based on cost, worked with me to minimize the cost of my representation and ultimately had my rights restored at less than the estimated cost.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"I enthusiastically endorse this lawyer. He finds solutions for clients... and is totally willing to seek ideas from others to help his clients when matters are not within his primary practice areas. David's technical knowledge in the areas of civil litigation and Second Amendment rights is very far above the norm. David is a caring and thoughtful person and each client is an individual, not a statistic. David and I are working in the area of Second Amendment rights and firearms law, including development of a comprehensive gun trust system backed up by a consultative approach to asset protection and personal defense. David thinks outside the box, and correlates his own expertise with that of others. This is an unusually valuable skill in an attorney, since our profession often lives within our own legal "silos"."
