Erin M. Stines

Native Washingtonian-born and raised in the Seattle area. While I am proud of my Washington roots and have been licensed to practice in Washington since 2001, I am also licensed in Oregon (2010) and Idaho (2012) and enjoy traveling and practicing in those states.

I am an accomplished litigator and focus my practice on construction, real estate, and complex commercial litigation. I enjoy the challenge of resolving all aspects of contract disputes adn have gained significant experience resolving issues for property owners, builders, financial institutions, and title and escrow companies.

Prior to joining Ahlers & Cressman, I worked in private practice and as in-house counsel. I also served for two years as a law clerk to United States District Judge Franklin D. Burgess in the Western District of Washington. My practice experience includes working with a prominent Seattle trial lawyer who handled only a select number of high-value cases.  Additionally, I have practiced in a mid-sized Seattle litigation firm where I primarily represented banks and title insurance companies in a wide variety of matters.

Most recently, I spent five years honing my dispute resolution skills while working as in-house counsel at a Fortune 500 title insurance company by representing the company, its brands and insureds in hundreds of litigated matters throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

I serve on the board of the Sammamish Homeowners (SHO), a non-profit organization committed to protecting the rights of lakefront property owners. I volunteer as a Destination Imagination Team Manager and a race starter for Crystal Mountain Alpine Club (CMAC). Erin has lived and studied in England and Japan but is a lifelong Puget Sound resident.
