David Michael Koberlein

Mr. Koberlein did my "simple" divorce (we have one child) in 2013. I contacted another attorney recently as Mr. K. did not return my phone call. I wanted to make sure my ex-husband could not get a passport issued without my consent. He told me that my divorce paper is the worst he has ever seen a...nd not worth the paper it's written on....that Mr. Koberlein should have included many things, such as my ex not being able to take my child overseas unless I agree. etc.etc.

He reviewed my case and gave me a step by step on my case. He promptly answered all my concerns and questions. My case is not just straight forward case and he is willing to work on it. My case is against my Condominium Association. My case is already filed by my former attorney which now he has to ...amend my complaint and pick up where my former attorney dropped the ball.

I hired David to handle multiple cases for myself & my fiancé, because we both have exes that are difficult to deal with (to say the least). David came in, reviewed everything, laid out a game plan... and unlike most lawyers... he actually executed exactly how he said he would and when he said he wo...uld. I have zero complaints with David and refer people to him regularly. You definitely get what you pay for with David!

Dave is a pretty basic guy. If you hire him, he'll tell you flat out. You have to help him help you. I ran into a lot of legal problems at once. Credit card, business stuff with people not paying, and divorce. He was a one man legal machine. He's honest but his bed side manner takes some getting used... to . Regularly emailed me, returned phone calls, kept me in the loop every step of the way. Emailed me questions and made sure I answered them. The main thing was that he was willing to work with me on the fees. I didn't have five grand sitting around for a lawyer. So he worked with me and put me on a bi-weekly payment plan. But he doesn't play around. The payments can be simple and low (for lawyers that is), but he expects them. Every two weeks I got a legal bill, time sheet and a copy of all the stuff he did, legal research, motions, what have you. Real headache stuff. We met for coffee to discuss the case and he came to my house more than a few times. Don't need to be rich to afford him, but you need to pay when asks you, and expect an education. He's very forthright about building clients for life in the business world. I wish I would have met him before my stuff went sideways.

David Koberlein took my divorce case when most other attorney's would not because I did not have the $5,000.00 retainer fee most required. Mr. Koberlein takes in on the "back end".... He also came and met with me at my location, which was a huge help at the time. When I hired him, we met a 2nd ti...me and I gave him all of my original paperwork.... (did not have a copy machine, and he said he would go through it and copy what was necessary) My divorce has been final for a year, and since then he has not returned one single phone call, text or email in my attempt to get back all of my paperwork. He is extremely disorganized, and unprofessional to say the least. While I was thankful to have him initially, it has been at great expense to myself financially and time wise to try to get back very important documentation. I CANNOT believe he will not return my repeated (23) phone calls or texts.. once he got a check for $5,000.00 he vanished. AND I did not receive a final bill to justify the $5,000.00. He will talk a "good game", and you will be desperate for any representation, I was. It is a time when women are not thinking clearly and so much is going on, I trusted him. He is in possession of all banking information, tax returns, private emails, private financial information, medical documents! God knows where they are.
