Lauren Nicole Ochenduszko

I have been in private practice in San Diego since 2010. I am currently an Associate Attorney in McDougal, Love, Eckis' municipal law practice group. My practice covers all facets of local governance including planning and code enforcement, personnel relations, open meeting laws, the Public Records Act, and ADA compliance. I also provide advice and assistance to the firm’s clients regarding labor and employment law issues, including disability and family medical leave, employee discipline and grievances, wage and hour issues, and public employee benefits and retirement. Additionally, I assist with the firm’s litigation department representing both public and private clients in a wide range of legal matters.

Previously, I practiced business litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex business matters, among other things. I have served on several litigation teams across the country in both federal and state courts, handing all aspects of civil litigation. I have represented multiple employers with day-to-day employment issues, large companies in contract disputes regarding long term supply agreements with national-level customers, and shareholders in derivative actions involving allegations of Board misconduct, including false SEC filings, violations of Federal Corrupt Practices Act, insider trading, false and misleading statements, and other types of fiduciary misconduct at public companies.

I received my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law in 2010. While in law school, I was an active member in the Review of Law and Social Justice, Phi Alpha Delta, the Public Interest Law Foundation, and Street Law. I graduated cum laude from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a concentration in Law and Public Policy.

I am admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
