Very poor performance

I retained Ms. Ciota in April 2012 for a probation violation. I had felony probation so I was facing prison time. Ms. Ciota was great when we first met and I agreed to pay her $2500 to help me avoid going to prison after having completed 3 out of 5 years of probation. I violated the probation for a d...irty urine and had committed no new offenses. We exchanged e-mails and talked on the phone up until I was remanded to jail on a probation warrant. Her ideas for a defense were not very solid and we never had a good plan. My last contact with miss Ciota was at a court hearing on June 11th 2012. The judge suggested sentencing on August 3rd and said he wanted to give me a conditional dischard, less likely a county year in jail, and least likely 1-3 years in state prison depending on an the probation report and attorneys agreements. I tried reaching Ms. Ciota that whole month and a half and she stopped talking to me. She did, however, find the time to ask family and friends to contribute more money for my defense. She wound up getting $4850 in total for a technical probation violation. I wound up getting 1-3 years in state prison. Ms. Ciota failed to let me review my pre-sentence report that was written by probation. She failed to ever give me an itemized bill. She didn't even contact me from the last hearing until sentencing. I was very disappointed with her representation overall. She was given a letter of caution from the Attorney Grievance committee and I would caution anyone facing a serious case to think hard before handing her any money.

Made Mom Happy

Went from misdemeanor drug charge to violation to dismissal. You can't ask for any more than that. Amy was attentive, empathetic, supportive, creative and realistic. We knew where we were all along the way. She was truly an advocate.

Can't Go Wrong with Amy

Attorney Amy Ciota represented me on a traffic legal matter where I had a lot to lose. Amy was there for me throughout, from beginning to the very end. When I felt I was losing hope, and reached out to her, Amy always took the time out of her busy schedule to reassure me that all was going to be all... right. Amy knew my legal experiment was limited, and was there to explain everything to me. Amy always managed to make me feel I was her number one client. That is an incredibly reassuring feeling, as normally attorneys are too rushed and hurried with responses and answers when asked, and sometimes you feel you get lost in the lawyer’s shuffle. I never felt that way with Amy as my lawyer. Attention like hers is priceless when you, as the client feel like your outcome could be seriously affected negatively. Amy never failed to return my calls, texts or emails. Most importantly, she always had answers that were accurate, detailed, and clever. Throughout the proceedings, Amy offered me apt and expert consideration to all of my concerns and she always exceeded my expectations. When in court with her Amy was well aware of her surroundings, i.e. she knows her way around a courtroom! In the end Amy was able to get a sentence that could have been a possible felony charge, revocation of license and huge fines - ALL DISMISSED! I did research quite a few lawyers, before finally choosing Amy, and I chose her because of testimonials like these and extremely impressive word-of-mouth recommendations. Choosing Amy was one of the best decisions I have ever made. In one night, she managed to turn my life from possible doom to bliss. Yes, she’s that good. I promise you, you can’t go wrong with Amy at your side, regardless of your situation. Whatever situation you are facing, you cannot go wrong with choosing Amy Ciota as your lawyer. Please feel free to contact me via my email address: [email protected] with reference to my recommendations for Attorney Amy Ciota.

Above and beyond

I was represented by Amy Ciota on a legal matter where a lot was at stake. Throughout the proceedings, Amy provided prompt and capable attention to my concerns and exceeded all expectations. Amy seemed to be in tune with everything that was going on in the court room. She was always available to talk..., and always had answers that were accurate and detailed. In the end Amy was able to get a sentence that could have been an incredibly long prison sentence with a felony charge, DISMISSED… yes I said dismissed- those are skills in my opinion that are not easy to find.
