Very poor performance

I retained Ms. Ciota in April 2012 for a probation violation. I had felony probation so I was facing prison time. Ms. Ciota was great when we first met and I agreed to pay her $2500 to help me avoid going to prison after having completed 3 out of 5 years of probation. I violated the probation for a d...irty urine and had committed no new offenses. We exchanged e-mails and talked on the phone up until I was remanded to jail on a probation warrant. Her ideas for a defense were not very solid and we never had a good plan. My last contact with miss Ciota was at a court hearing on June 11th 2012. The judge suggested sentencing on August 3rd and said he wanted to give me a conditional dischard, less likely a county year in jail, and least likely 1-3 years in state prison depending on an the probation report and attorneys agreements. I tried reaching Ms. Ciota that whole month and a half and she stopped talking to me. She did, however, find the time to ask family and friends to contribute more money for my defense. She wound up getting $4850 in total for a technical probation violation. I wound up getting 1-3 years in state prison. Ms. Ciota failed to let me review my pre-sentence report that was written by probation. She failed to ever give me an itemized bill. She didn't even contact me from the last hearing until sentencing. I was very disappointed with her representation overall. She was given a letter of caution from the Attorney Grievance committee and I would caution anyone facing a serious case to think hard before handing her any money.

Quick and Professional

I was facing several points in my license and was very Intimidated by the whole process as it was my first experience using a lawyer for this. She was very helpful and effective and I received a judgement as good or better than what she had me expecting!

If you need the fastest, best, most reliable, dedicated and winning attorney immediately, call Amy.

I recently came into very serious legal trouble earlier this year. Just like many of you reading this, I never had any serious legal matters in my life. Overnight, because of a terrible mistake any of us could have made, my life changed overnight. It could happen to any of us. All of sudden, I found ...myself arrested: cuffed, photographed, and fingerprinted. I was horrified and instantly, I panicked. Then, I immediately thought of Amy. Amy had been my lawyer a few months ago on another legal manner (non-misdemeanor, non-criminal charges) where ALL of my 9 traffic charges were dropped! Dismissed. Completely. It was all because of Amy and her ability as an attorney. My life, as I knew it, and wanted to keep intact, was saved by her. Her skill, her knowledge, her tenacity, her availability, her respect for her clients, for other counselors, and her steadfast commitment, make her one of the strongest attorneys around. Regarding this latest, serious incident, as I said, without hesitation, I called Amy. First, as usual, she assured me and talked to me at length. Afterward, rapid-fire communication ensued between her and I, and opposing counsel. Finally, she made a phone call or two and I was cleared once again, given a slight slap on the wrist! None of my horrible fears came true, but would have had it not been for Amy. I am no longer considered a criminal, within a matter of a month! All of the above is true and happened within the last few months. Amy is at the top of her game. If you seriously need quick, winning results, call Amy. She will get right back to you.

Made Mom Happy

Went from misdemeanor drug charge to violation to dismissal. You can't ask for any more than that. Amy was attentive, empathetic, supportive, creative and realistic. We knew where we were all along the way. She was truly an advocate.

Unlicensed Operator/Speeding

Charges were reduced. Walked away with my licence and with just having to pay the ticket fees.
