Amy Rachelle Beck

After a very traumatic sexual harassment, sexual assault, retaliation, (and more) experience at the hand of my manager/employer (which was a large, well-known enterprise), I had experienced so much emotional burn-out and damage to my self-esteem, I was considering quitting my career. With my experien...ce, network, and portfolio, I had the potential to grow my career to the next level, but I ready to give it all up and quit. When I shared my story with Amy, it was like, for the first time, someone really understood what happened to me. For the first time someone saw me and said, "this wasn't your fault, and you did not deserve this." She was so empathetic and empowered me to believe in myself and stay strong throughout the case. Employers need to be held accountable for breaking the law, and Amy inspired me to stay strong for the other women who had experienced the same inequities. I was very nervous throughout the entire process, but Amy never faltered in her confidence, which helped me remember what I deserved - and what the other women deserved. With every strategic move she made, she always did what was best for me and my unique goals. At the end, my goals were met. I could not have asked for a more perfect outcome with consideration of my unique circumstances. In the meantime, I was offered a fantastic opportunity to grow my career with an organization that is rooted in their values and DEI, and I feel like the sky is the limit there. I've already been promoted, and my experience with this case gave me newfound passion, vigor, empowerment, and self-advocacy - and I'm determined for that to have a ripple effect on women around me. As a leader within my organization, and community, I know I can influence women to believe in their story, strength, and stand up for themselves and each other. I don't regret a single second of it now. I'm thankful to Amy for her guidance, strength, and empowerment during such a very fragile time. I’ve grown so much from this experience!
