Wasting time and money
Contacted the lawyer with immigration case, paid for the first consultation with zero outcomes. Then decided accept the risk, sign a contract with this lawyer and move forward. Contract is absolutely unclear, requesting to pay $7,500 at the beginning, so I tried to specify couple details in this cont...

The initial consultation is meant for legal evaluation, and the fee is fully credited toward the retainer if you choose to proceed. The quoted fee reflects the strategic complexity of EB-2 NIW cases, and the contract outlines this in detail. Importantly, no attorney can ethically or legally guarantee the outcome of a petition—in fact, doing so could place their license at risk. That’s not a flaw in the contract; it’s a mark of honest, compliant representation.
