Adam H. Gertz

I began my legal career as counsel to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti in his Office of Public Safety. During that time, I counseled the Mayor and the City on technology transaction, provided federal and compliance advice to grant specialists and numerous city public safety agencies, and responded to public records requests. I also had the privilege and honor to serve as Mayor Garcetti's Policy Director for Cybersecurity. As part of that role, I co-chaired the Cyber-Intrusion Command Center, an intergovernmental professional working group that focuses on best practice in cybersecurity policy. Finally, I created the Los Angeles Cyber Lab, the nations' first city-based P3 for cybersecurity data and information sharing between the government and businesses, large and small, across all industries. 

After nearly four rewarding years in public service, I transitioned to private practice. My current firm, Wolk & Levine is an IP and Business Litigation firm that focuses on small businesses, entertainment, trademark, homeowners associations. I direct the firm's startup practice initiative, which focuses on providing legal assistance to startups, entrepreneurs, and small business, in a variety of industries, at reduced rates.
