COULDN'T IMAGINE A BETTER LAWYER

Richard is hands down an amazing lawyer. He made a very stressful process very easy. Explained every step. His rate is very reasonable specially considering the level of service you get. I never had a question that wasn't answered. I never had any difficulty reaching him (I hear from a lot of reviews... of other lawyers that this is a big problem). Hands down the best lawyer money can buy. I can't recommend him enough.

Well worth the money

I hired Richard Postma for a custody case. Another attorney who turned down my case recommended him. Mr. Postma gave me an initial consult unlike any of the other attorneys I spoke with. He took me from where I was at (Point A), where I wanted to go (Point B) and then explained the obstacles in my... way and how could get around them if I accepted his advice. It was frustrating, and it took more than a year, but now I have shared custody of my daughter. Looking back, I appreciate the advice Mr. Postma gave me because by telling me to treat the custody case like a marathon and not a sprint and to be patient and take it one step at a time, he got me where I wanted to go. His bill was high, but when my ex-wife asked the court for her attorney fees I realized she had spent almost twice on her attorney that I spent on Mr. Postma, and Mr. Postma found a way to convince the court to not make me pay for her attorney. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Knows his stuff

My auto insurance declined coverage after I was in an accident. Said the car I was in was not insured under my policy. Get sued by the other drivers insurance company. I hired Postma, and within a few weeks after Postma sent my insurance company a scathing letter, my insurance company reversed its ...coverage decision and is defending me in the lawsuit. Postma get results, and saved me a ton of money. Great lawyer, best I've ever hired.

Wise, experienced and loyal to the client!

Richard first stepped into me and my kids lives in August of 2012, at the beginning stages of a horrible child custody case that would make most attorneys run for the hills. My ex wife had made false reports that made me out to be the equivalent of a modern day Charles Manson, minus the crazy beard. ...I was accused of sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence and every sort of crazy thing she could think of to smear my name and ruin my military career in her bid to keep the kids prior to my leaving the state for another military station. My ex also enjoyed a pro bono lawyer awarded to her for making false claims of domestic violence via a charitable agency in the state, almost assuring a legal victory despite her obvious fabrications. She did succeed in stopping my move, but this lead to two things; an investigation that cleared my name in full, and allowing Richard time to work his magic within the civil legal system. Things Richard did: - Took a mountain of evidence and sorted out the fact from the fluff, knowing exactly what to present to the judge to the best effect. He completely cleared my name on a civil level based on our evidence, to the point that the Judge did indeed include in his order that my ex had no credibility on any of her claims. He didn't overwhelm the Judge with information, he directly targeted our exhibits to make the best impression against whatever narrative the other side was trying to build. In the end, Richards judgement was spot on, as the Judge was not able to note one instance where my ex's claims were crdible in any way. - Took an aggressive stance to get the truth out on my behalf. Where many lawyers would just wait till hearing day to get the story told, Richard released key pieces of info out at key points in order to make it clear that my ex was lying. Richard crafted each and every motion, and his attention to detail and masterful writing made a big difference in making good material into great material. All the way up to our hearing date, Richard laid the groundwork for putting the opposition's credibility in the dirt. More importantly, he took our testimony and kept it clear and concise for the Judge., key to keeping our momentum moving forward. If your evidence is the Orchestra, you want this man as Conductor. - King of cross examination. Richard argued our case like a force of nature, making them fight for every inch, all while leading them to a place they never intended to go. Example: a so called expert witness was so wrapped up into trying to have her non- expert opinion included into the courts dialouge that she ended up being considered a non-expert in her own profession, which ended up being revealed as something they weren't even qualified to testify about! In the end, this witness admitted that they didn't care about the truth involved...they considered the truth irrelevant, and said so while on the stand. All because of Richards masterful handling of this witness. The opposition had a massive pile of people they kept throwing on the stand, all of which Richard turned on the opposing sides case in short order. Richard knows how to interview and cross examine witnesses, and this was a key factor in getting us a fovorable outcome. - Richard kept my bills low, and got me a great result. I'm a single dad, and from what I'm told, its almost impossible for a dad to get custody, but here I am, taking care of my little people and seeing them succeed in life. All of this was because Richard did such a great job. There are not enough superlatives to describe his accumen and work ethic, but then, I knew from the first day he came out to represent my case that he was the right man for the job. During the case, Richard did what he had to do, when he had to do it to save you money. At the end of the day, having Richard as my rep made the difference. Without him, things would have gone very differently. Be truthful with him, put the case in his hands and you can't go wrong.

My attorney

Represented my in my divorce with an abusive husband. I hired him after the judge denied my petition for a protective order. He gave me great advice about how to deal with my husband, his attorney and the judge. Represent me at the long term hearing and got my long term protective order. Richard du...g into my husbands background, and caught him red handed lying under oaths about his spanking and beating our son. About a dozen times in court he told me what he thought the judge was about to say or do, or how the judge would react, and then the judge would do or say exactly what Mr. Postma said he would do. After about the 6th or 7th time this happened I stopped questioning Mr. Postma's advice and strategy and just watched him work the witness, the judge and the other attorney. Postma also seemed to know what my husband and his mother would say on the stand, and what questions to ask or not ask better than I did. It was as if Postma knew my husband and mother in law better than i did. It was amazing. Postma got the judge to award me about 55% of marital estate and some temporary alimony while I get some medical done, which two other attorney i interview said would not likely happen. Mr. Postma is a very good attorney? At first, my concern was that Postma handles too many cases. At first I resented his returning my calls and emails at the end of the day, and sometimes it was hard to schedule an appointment because he seemed to always be out of the office or with another client. However as my court approached he was 100% available during the two weeks prior to trial. in court he turns off his cell phone so he could give my case 100% of his attention and focus, which means Mr. Postma didn't call his other clients back until the end of the day after he was done with court in my case. I appreciated his diligence and focus in my case, and how he manages time to keep my bill down. I think Mr. Postma should tell his clients this up front so they better understand why he waits until the end of the day to return phone calls and emails when you first hire him, because I think most of his clients will understand and appreciate his focus and hard work at the end of the case. I rate him a top attorney.
