Very Disrespectful.

I was recommended by a friend, but turned out to be one of the fewest lawyers I’ve met that was severely unprofessional. Yes, he’s very straight forward but with a very bad attitude problem. Multiple times while trying to talk about my case I was being told by him that I was being ‘too emotional’ mul...tiple times and that ‘we aren’t going to win’ before even hearing me. Might I also add, he called me crazy over the phone while discussing my case without being followed up by any evidence. He told me on the first consult that he wasn’t going to take my case, which is fine, until he added that next time ‘I shouldn’t go into this so mad.’ Carl was not even listening to me and denied that he even told me previously that I was ‘too emotional and crazy.’ If you were going through something detrimental, you would be mad too. I would not recommend anyone this lawyer, and I would also like to add the fact that he treats his staff members horribly with great attitude. You would have best of luck and better respect for yourself elsewhere in my opinion.

"Very Disrespectful" is not a client. She has gone thru a long line of attorneys who either refused to meet with her, or take her case. I tried to explain to her that she was acting very erratic, not "crazy", and that she came across extremely angry. To provide context, family law attorneys regularly deal with upset and angry people. I have loved being a family law attorney for over twenty years, so imagine how erratic a person needs to be to be asked to calm down, or to cause an attorney to refuse to take the case. I believe "Very Disrespectful" is in a position to do well in her divorce, so I would never say she couldn't win. I do say that I don't do revenge, and am unable to provide a reckoning in a divorce and custody process. To be clear, I was never disrespectful to my staff, who are actually family members. In short, this review is not just, but it is the risk lawyers take when reaching out to people who are in distress. While I felt I was not the right person to represent "Very Disrespectful", I hope she finds a lawyer who can address her erratic behavior, and overwhelming anger to a degree that she can approach her divorce issues effectively.

Best divorce attorney in town

I interviewed a few lawyers for my divorce and am very glad that a friend referred me to Carl. I have since referred him to others who have been happy with his services as well. He is blunt and to-the-point, but that's exactly what you want! He helped me set reasonable expectations, talked me down ...when needed, and kicked a** when it was time. I hope I never need a divorce attorney again, but if I do I'll be calling Carl.

Excellent firm

I worked with Whitney Bostick. She was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to answer all questions I had, always presented me with all my options and let me know what she thought would be the best route to take. She was compassionate and considerate during my divorce and custody case. She respond...ed to emails and phone calls right away, always sent me paperwork in a timely manner, was always on the ball. I appreciate her services, and the fact that they did so in a very efficient manner.

Outstanding attorney

Carl represented me in a divorce. He was straightforward and trustworthy. I respect his integrity. As a result of his patience and persistence, my case turned out better than I had initially hoped. I recommend Carl with complete confidence and no reservations.

Simply the best!

For me, Carl Cook is the best. He listened to my case and instantly made me feel confident that he would get results. And he did. He fought for me, worked hard, and communicated with me throughout the entire process. He is professional and personable. He is highly skilled and knowledgeable of the la...w, he is experienced and well respected in the field, and he is tenacious. He will get results for you. I cannot recommend Carl Cook enough.
