I contacted Mr. Anderson with one concern. I needed to get my Hawai’i properties in a trust so my kids could avoid ancillary probate in Hawaii. I repeated this goal every time we spoke. Mr. Anderson assured me he could achieve this goal as his paralegal Patrick was familiar with Hawaii deeds. I p...aid his fee then he drafted a trust and even asked me to provide copies of my Hawaii deeds which I did promptly. After reviewing the trust his partner Ms. Barlow informed me that their firm had nothing to do with Hawai’i and that I would have to hire an attorney in Hawaii to transfer any deeds to my trust. When confronted Mr. Anderson stated that he “could have been clearer” but gave nothing back on his fee. Now I’m stuck with searching for an attorney in Hawaii to transfer my deeds into my Alaska trust after having been assured this would be taken care of. Aloha!
