Family Law is a Dumpster Fire - TCFL Can Help You Navigate the Sh!tshow

I've been involved in family court in a High Conflict case three separate times. First, my initial separate and divorce. Later, to get the other parent to follow the parenting plan and stop withholding our child. That's when I first worked with Tri-Cities Family Law. And more recently for a modificat...ion. One thing I've learned about attorneys; they are not equipped to help with any of the emotional aspects of the court process. Although I have gotten validation from the various staff at TCFL in my particular case. As the title of my review suggests, Family Court is a dumpster fire. Unfortunately, when dealing with an ex hell bent on using the court as a means of punishment, there's not much more to do but endure. I appreciate TCFL's ability to collaborate with me on the legal issues and continue to support me in effort to preserve our children’s best interests and safety. Hopefully, future family court commissioners and judges will be educated on issues of covert abuse, the toxic parent's use of contentious litigation, and how trauma affects children. Until then, TCFL and I will continue to work to endure the family court system until we reach a resolution.

A total blessing

Kari has been an absolute blessing to are family she is an AMAZING attorney and I have recommended 3 people to retain her my first experience with Kari was in my guardianship case mother was refuseing serves Kari without haveing her retained told us to throw the papers at her feet. We were able to ge...t her served mother refused a medical surgery for child and before retaining her she gave legal advice I will never forget that bc in that moment it told me Kari was not in it for the money she was in it for the children and I was sold I new I had to retain her and it was the best thing I ever did she has represented me to the fullest she is very knowledgeable and all around a beautiful human being thank you Kari and her team for everything you do

divorce/family issues with parenting plan

Kari and her legal assistant were very helpful and listened to my concerns. Kari filed motions promptly and kept the process moving ahead. Her legal assistant was also knowledgable and supportive during this stressful time.

Would not recommend

I was going through some harsh court battles with my ex. Kari showed no interest, concern or care in anything that was occurring. She did not go out of her way to help me or lighten the load of anything. She was not aggressive whatsoever-- opposing counsel wiped the floor with us time and time again.... My case should have been a slam dunk-- yet through poor, unprepared, offensive-less & defensive-less representation, she lost court appearance after court appearance. There were multiple times in court where it was more than evident that she had no idea what was going on and had not even bothered to read my position, declaration, response etc. She truly did not care about me, my case or whether we/she won or lost. Communication-wise, she did not respond timely-- if at all to phone calls and emails. The one good thing I can say is that she billed fairly for her time-- but what good is fair billing for your time when your not getting what you're seeking/paying for.

Unprofessional and Disappointing Representation

I had a very disappointing experience with this attorney. From the beginning, I felt she did not fight for me the way I deserved, and the outcome of my case has left me with a custody schedule that I am now stuck with long term. During consultations, she would at times be tending to her own children,... which I found unprofessional and distracting. Before my retainer funds were fully depleted, she notified opposing counsel that she planned to withdraw from my case, which was premature and put me in a difficult position. Although I was able to add funds to keep her on retainer, it was clear that maintaining payment was a greater priority for her than fully representing me. I feel that I was not given fair or diligent representation, and I am now left to deal with the repercussions for the rest of my life.
