Let me start by saying that MR Hoxie is an intelligent man and knows the laws and regs . However his extent of knowledge stops at consultation . When it comes to representation , he seems not have time to thoroughly prepare a good defense in court . His interpersonal skills may not be the best and th...at reflected in his failure to convince the judge of what is considered the “ norm “ in child support law . Unfortunately , once you hire him , the whole focus becomes centred about how he can bill you more rather than what is in your best interest . You can sense the indifference shot after you hire him . His office staff are all about findings ways to bill you and ask for more and more payments in advance ( 3000 each time the fund goes below 1000 ) . You will be billed right , left and center and even sending an email to ask about appointment time or even telling you “ you are welcome “ can be billed at 0.1 to 0.2 units each time . I would say if you have a legal question , he is perfectly fine to consult with . Other than that , I suggest you hire a different office

I had Christopher Hoxie as my legal aid appointed attorney and what a huge mess it was. I was not fairly represented at all. He never worked on my case, his legal team would literally never get back to me when it was urgent. I have been dealing with my divorce since 2020 and it is still not over yet ...because of how slow he works. He never did anything I was told he was going to do even when it was detrimental to my case. His paralegals changed ALL THE TIME and no one would ever tell me. All he cared about was that I wasn't paying him and he is very slow. I'm glad to have him off my case and had to hire a competent lawyer to fairly represent me in court and actually show up to hearings because my last hearing, he wasn't even there. Absolutely ridiculous service. Never hire this law firm ever or you will be absolutely wasting your time.
