Real Estate Contract Dispute

I would highly recommend this attorney. She is professional, diplomatic but firm when representing her clients, and very knowledgeable in her field. Additionally, she has finely honed people skills. She is able to read the opposing side and anticipate their moves and underlying motives. She also re...ads her clients well and gently guides their emotions/conflicts into the correct legal response. While this review may seem focused on the human side of things, a lot of legal disputes are based on discord between individuals. A good attorney with people skills can deflect or resolve a dispute quickly saving both sides considerable expense. I have dealt with 8-9 attorneys in my professional life and I consider Ms. McKinley one of the top three. In my dealings with her, I always felt that she kept my best interests uppermost in her representation.

Excellent help in a business acquisition

I engaged Kathryn late one Friday, very late in a business purchase transaction that I was having trouble closing. She immediately came up to speed, working over the weekend to review the relevant documents. By the next Tuesday, she had distilled the key issues, succinctly explained them to me, rec...ommended a course of action, orchestrated alignment between at least 5 different stakeholders, and created the necessary additional documents to protect my interests that were still acceptable to the other parties in the transaction. She also arranged to remove additional barriers in the transaction. As a result, we completed the transaction as planned by the following Friday. Kathryn was calm, knowledgeable, patient, thorough and FAST! She was a stress-reducer for me in a very stressful situation. I can say without reservation that without her, my business transaction would have failed to execute.

Physician Group Practice

I have a high level of confidence in the quality of Kathryn's counsel and work product. She has consistently met deadlines for completion of work. Kathryn is pleasant, practical, competent and a good value. We have used her services for contracts and agreements pertaining to banking and real estate.

Good attorney, common sense and afforable

Have used this attorney for basic commercial business advice. She has been very helpful and I feel that she understands my business well. Projects were done on time and at a reasonable cost.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
