Don’t hire Ms Rahim!

It’s taken me a while to write this review due to the trauma and myself and my family have gone through. I do, however; want to make others aware of why they should NOT retain Ms Rahim. She starts out by having a meeting with the potential client, herself and her paralegal. After going into grea...t detail about your personal situation she portrays total confidence in her abilities. Once you pay the retainer, you begin receive monthly bills. Your retainer will be gone within a month. In a matter of few months, she took me for over $25K and we had no wins in court. She couldn’t get her facts straight during hearings. I had to intervene and correct her so many times during court hearings. It was embarrassing! This was even after I had phone calls with her prior to each hearing, to ensure she knew the facts but she still couldn’t get her facts straight. She is more of a mouse in a courtroom than the tiger she portrayed herself to be, too. I truly feel that she got my case confused with someone else’s, EVERY TIME we had a hearing. She can’t seem to get her thoughts together long enough to fight back with facts in court. She doesn’t stand up against outright lies from the other side either. She says NOTHING! She either can’t remember YOUR facts or she doesn’t care! I’m not sure which is the case. She was completely lost and this wasn’t even during a trial, but hearings. She told me that even though my child had made accusations towards my soon to be ex and there was a formal investigation underway, that it was important that I encourage contact with him and the children!!! She made me feel like if I didn’t allow and encourage contact, the kids could end up going to the monster that I was divorcing. I was distraught and my oldest wanted nothing to do with him. After consulting with another attorney, I terminated my retainer with Ms Rahim. Not only did my new attorney (his initials MD) finish my case for me for a total of $5K, but I have full custody with no contact from my ex. He ended up being the bulldog that I needed, Thank God! While I hate the fact that WA is a community property state, I’m glad this marriage is behind me. BTW- Ms Rahim- I was right and I’m glad I believed my child. My ex has now been charged with multiple sexual felony accounts against a minor, MY CHILD! I would not hire this attorney if she was the only attorney left in the city. I would go it alone because an untrained person could win against her. She appears to have amnesia everytime a court appearance is required.

Untrustworthy

I am saddened to be speaking of my experience but I hope I can save another single mother the heartache of choosing the wrong attorney when they’re at their most vulnerable position in life. When it became obvious to me that I needed an attorneys help with my divorce and child custody my father ar...ranged for me to have a consultation with Ms Rahim. I asked dozens and dozens of questions and by the end felt confident in her. I was told about the $3,500 retainer but I was assured, after explaining my financial hardship and how this money was borrowed since I was with little funds, that often times cases like mine wouldn’t exceed the $3,500 retainer and I’d be issued a refund. In 10 months I’ve paid $16,000.00 and have an outstanding balance of $3,800.00 I am no closer to being divorced than I was that day. There is only a temporary parenting plan in place and with all this my attorney failed to provide the correct documents I had given her to the courts which resulted in my restraining order being lifted. I ask questions in my emails that are rarely answered. I don’t ask a second time because each email costs over $100 to just press “send”. I’ve spoken with not one but 3 different paralegals during this duration because my attorney has had multiple for various reasons. Given my anxiety and stress my father tried calling to speak with the law firm manager or whomever is in charge but to our surprise, they refused to allow him to speak with anyone. I am dumbfounded of despite me expressing facing daily creditor calls, nearly losing my home and all the other burdens of the financial debts on my shoulders that bushra has now dropped me as a client. I fully regret my choice in choosing her to represent me. All I’ve gotten is increased debt, increased stress and zero progress in my divorce. I’m sure they’ll respond and defend themselves as anyone would but sadly at the end of the day all that matters is one’s actions. Her actions speak volumes and it’s clear she’s okay financially breaking a single mother for her gains.

Parenting Plan

Mrs. Bushra Rahim help me with a parenting plan modification. Her and her team were professional and caring. They answered every question I ever had and didn't mind, they answered within reasonable time and always respectful. She always told me how much thing could cost and the time they could take ...to happen and the probabilities that things could not go my way. I really appreciate her and her team always keeping conversation clear. I could not thank you enough.
